800 V AC combiner panels for a 25 MWp solar park
Pronutec supplied 8 800V combiner panels for the solar park in a town in Angola. The park has the capacity of 25 MWp.
Pronutec’s 800V AC panels were located in the transformation cabins. These panels, where the switchgear for photovoltaic applications are housed inside, are in charge of receiving the input cables of the string inverters, once they have transformed the direct current into alternating current, and guarantee the distribution of energy to the network.
The park will contributes significantly to the goals set by the Angolan government to meet the country’s energy needs and increase the share of renewable sources. According to a statement from the Angolan embassy in Spain, the Minister of Energy and Water, João Baptista Borges, recalled that the substitution of thermal energy for solar energy represents a saving of 275 million liters of diesel per year.
