Fuse switches, the best solution for the protection of LV electrical distribution

What is a three pole vertical  fuse switches?

At Pronutec we design and develop a wide range of equipment for low voltage electrical distribution and one of our outstanding product range is the three pole vertical  fuse switches, known as TRIVER+. For more than 37 years we have been manufacturing three pole vertical fuse switches for NH 00/ 1 / 2 / 3 fuse sizes.

This three pole vertical fuse switches are used in low voltage distribution panels to ensure the correct installation of fuses, which are the elements responsible for the protection of the power supply. Likewise, the fuse switches allow the switching of circuits with inductive or resistive load.

Main advantages of fuse switches

  • Safe connection and disconnection of fuses.
  • Reduction of energy losses.
  • Allows the design of more compact and smaller low voltage switchboards, compared to other solutions, for both outdoor and indoor installations.
  • Quick and easy fuse replacement, shortening the time subscribers are without supply.

Range of three pole vertical fuse switches

Within this range of fuse bases, we can find different types depending on the preferences and needs of our customers:

Vertical design fuse rails

There are two types of vertical design fuse rails, depending on the degree of protection required, either uninsulated fuse rails (BTVA) or insulated fuse rails with IP20 degree of protection (BTVA-P).

Three pole vertical fuse switches and vertical design fuse disconnectors

Three pole vertical fuse switches that guarantee safety and simplicity in maintenance operations thanks to the different ergonomic handle designs.

Depending on the type of model, this range of fuse switches offers the option of one pole disconnection (DU), allowing the individual disconnection of each phase, either with a fixed or retractable handle, or the option of three pole disconnection (DT), carrying out the simultaneous disconnection of the three phases.

The vertical three pole fuse switches are equipped with the necessary elements to enable advanced supervision of the low voltage network, whether it is the upper solution, lower solution or the new Live Retrofit Supervisor equipment.

The difference between the three pole vertical fuse switches and the vertical design fuse disconnector is that the fuse switches house fuses and the fuse disconnectors  house solid links. The fuse disconnectors are also a versatile solution for use as low voltage panel feeders or busbar couplings, among other applications.

Vertical design fuse switches for 800 V AC applications

The AC distribution and the more elevated voltage use, allow a more cost-competitive design of power networks in photovoltaic applications and less power losses. Therefore, the range of vertical design fuse switches up to 800V AC are the best option for this type of applications.

Depending on the type of model, this range of fuse switches offers the option of one pole disconnection (DU)  or the option of three pole disconnection (DT).
