The BITRA Project: A grant program to support business R&D
Project objective
New self-managed low-voltage switchboard to reduce losses in transformer substations with more than one transformer
Description
A collaborative project between two companies within the Gorlan Group: Pronutec and Merytronic.
The main objective of this project is to reduce energy losses occurring in transformer substations with two or more transformers; this will be achieved through the development of a new low-voltage switchboard capable of operating disconnected from the transformer during periods of low energy demand.
Funding body
This project has been co-funded by the Basque Government and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund 2021–2027 (ERDF).
