Description
The function of Switchboards for Transformer Substations is mainly:
- Distribute LV supply from the distribution transformer into several 3 phase outgoing circuits.
- Protect the outgoing circuits from possible faults downstream.
- Manouver/isolate the lines when necessary from the transformer.
Aditionally, the LV distribution panel can offer several metering and monitoring options for both the main load and also for the individual loads of the outgoing circuits.
The distribution transformers can be found in different type of installations, from indoor concrete buildings to outdoor pole mounted arrangements. Besides, the transformer rating can be from 100 kVA to 2000 kVA. Therefore, the design of the LV distribution panels for this type of application is very wide.
